I'm Taking a Little Poll...

I'm having trouble deciding if I want to continue doing my 365 pics in 2010, and was hoping that you guys could help me decide. I love the photography practice and documenting our daily events, but I'm wondering if I can still continue to come up with "photo opportunities" for another year. I mean, we're not that interesting. :)

So...what do you think? Can you please take the poll on my sidebar {or leave me a comment} and let me know your opinion! Thanks for your help bloggie friends!

OOOHHH...and I'm officially done with my 365 for 2009. In the last 24 hours I have done FIFTY {yep, I said 50} posts. Please scroll on down and check them out! The new ones start with post #285 on November 12th and go through NYE. Now how's that for catchin' up?!?!

365:Day 334 ~ So Long 2009!

My sweet friend, Cara, hosted a NOON Year celebration today, complete with a countdown to NOON! It was a complete toddlerfest and the girls had a ball...and I loved chatting with all the mamas! I thought this little playdate was the perfect way to celebrate the New Year in a kid-friendly way!

Then, tonight headed to the Bryces for a relaxing evening of spaghetti, chit-chat, and games, complete with a countdown to MIDNIGHT! I can't think of two better ways to spend the last day of the decade...SO LONG 2009!

365:Day 333 ~ What Up Cuz?

We had our cousin gift exchange with JJ, Rebecca, Celia, Julia, and William tonight! Like a ding-dong I forgot to take a cousin picture before dinner, so by the time we got around to it, cute William was already off in dreamland! I guess I'll just have to settle for these adorable little ladies! As always, we had a really fun evening! It's always nice for the Leonard 4 to sit around and relax with the Leonard 5! LOVE IT!

365:Day 332 ~ MORE!

It snowed AGAIN today and I seriously could not believe my eyes. I have lived in Texas for 19.5 years now, and I cannot remember a winter like this. Carly was snoozing, so she missed this mini blizzard, but Macy was able to enjoy the snow kissing her face for a few minutes. Bill snapped this awesome picture of her out back and I just love it! It's becoming a regular winter wonderland around here! :)

365:Day 331 ~ How Do You Spell Win?

J O D I!
Our friend Greg comes into town every year for the holidays and we always spend one evening playing a game of Scrabble {it was a little weekend tradition of ours before he moved to California a few years ago}. And let it be known that I was crowned the winner this year! Not that winning is what's important. Ahem. It's of course, how you play the game and enjoying time with your hubby and an old friend that's important. :)

365:Day 330 ~ It Might be Cold...

...but that won't stop a scooter / big wheel ride! Macy got a scooter from Santa this year and couldn't not wait to take it for a spin! And of course, Carly had to bust a move on her big wheel and chase after her sister! Daddy took the girls out for about 45 minutes this afternoon for some fresh air and a ride while I stayed here and got control of our messy surroundings! The girls had a ball, but were little ice cubes by the time they got back inside! That sunshine is deceiving...their little hands were frozen even with gloves on! But it was worth braving the cold because their cute little red cheeks and noses were glowing from all the fun! :)

365:Day 329 ~ Ice, Ice, Baby!

I really can't believe it, but we still have slush, a little bit of snow, and ice on the ground after 48 whole hours since the Christmas Eve blizzard started! This is unheard of around here. Snow barely last one hour, let alone over 48!!! WOW! We are actually having winter in the Lone Star State!

365:Day 328 ~ We're Dreaming of a White Christmas!

...which is exactly what we got!
In TEXAS!
Can you believe it? Yep...neither can we!

365:Day 327 ~ It's Christmas Eve!

And in the Leonard casa, that means decorating gingerbread houses! The girls had a ball this year decorating their very own house! They were pretty proud of themselves, and I think they turned out pretty darn cute!

365:Day 326 ~ You'll Never Guess...

...what Bill and I are going to try to wrap up tonight. Somehow I just bet that's what almost all of you are doing right now too. :)

365:Day 325 ~ Sibling Love...

Tonight we had our annual Bryce.Leonard.Scheer holiday cookie decorating and gift exchange. All I could think when we were snapping this pic was how much more important the relationship between these six kiddos is than the gifts they opened or the cookies they decorated. They are friends...siblings...family. All six of them. They go together like peas and carrots, and I hope they always adore each other as much as they do right now {or more!}...because it's priceless.

365:Day 324 ~ Hands Down...

...my very favorite holiday decoration in the whole house.

I love holiday cards. Love sending them, but love receiving them even more. So, when I came across this awesome way to display them in blogland last year, I just had to be a copycat! For the past several weeks I have raced out to the mailbox and hung up every single card we have received on our cabinets and pantry! I LOVE displaying them like this!!!

Favorite holiday decoration EVER! Hands down. :)

365:Day 323 ~ Next Stop, The North Pole!

We headed to the North Pole on the Polar Express to have a visit with the big man himself today! All went well...it was a smooth train ride, both girls sat on Santa's lap, chatted with him, and took an adorable picture. I just cannot get enough of seeing our girl's eyes dancing while they are waiting to see Santa! It is magical! HO HO HO!

365:Day 322 ~ Important InFOURmation...

Can you guess who turned four today and what kind of party she had?

365:Day 321 ~ Now This is One Shark I LOVE...

Well. I officially have a new best friend. My parents gave me a Shark Steam Mop for Hanukkah and I used it tonight for the first time when I was cleaning the house for Carly's party tomorrow. And friends...it is pure greatness. My floors have literally never, EVER felt so clean. This is one of my all-time favorite gifts in history! I.love.it.

And I should mention that I hate...HATE...to mop! It's probably one of my least favorite household chores. I'm not only pleased with the result of my insanely clean floors, but I'm thrilled to death that it is insanely FAST at getting them clean. I would say that I cuts the time it takes me to mop all moppable areas in more than half.

It's awesome. And if you don't have one, you need to get one. Right now. And if you do have one, don't you feel like you're a part of a club of really super duper clean floor havin' peeps?!?! :)

Love
it.

365:Day 320 ~ A Surprise for Mommy and Daddy...

Macy came home with a surprise holiday gift for Bill and I today and could NOT wait for us to open it! We asked her over and over if she wanted us to wait until Christmas, or at least Christmas Eve, and she refused! TOO EXCITED! She had already waited until Bill got home from work and that was as long as she could stand it! How cute is she?!?! Anyway, I'm going to leave you hanging for now what was wrapped in this adorable little package...just to torture you!! I'll do a big post about it asap! :) Until then...any guesses?

365:Day 319 ~ Frosty the Snowman

The first graders made these cute paper mache snowmen at school and brought them home to complete the assignment ... which was to decorate the snowman any way they wanted to. Macy wanted to just make a "plain 'ol regular snowman". You'll have to check our family blog to see pictures of her plain 'ol regular Frosty! :)

365:Day 318 ~ How Stinkin' Cute is This?

I mean seriously. Could these two be any more adorable?

Carly's class had a little playdate at the mall today ... storytime, lunch, and a carousel ride ... and it was brought to my attention that Carly has herself a little boyfriend. Yep. A boyfriend.

They held hands, sat together during lunch, chatted non-stop, and even tried to ride on the same horse {until the uncool carousel worker lady made said there could only be one kid on each}. Cute, cute, cute. It was probably the most adorable thing ever. EVER!

365:Day 317 ~ YANK!

I mean it. Bill yanked out another one of Macy's teeth {for a total of six lost, if you're keeping track} tonight. Yanked.it. I question whether or not it was really ready to come out, but Macy says it didn't hurt. Yanked.

Thank goodness he deals with all things loose tooth related. It's making me squeamish just writing this post. Ew.

365:Day 316 ~ Sugar Plum Fairies Danced...

...right behind us!

My mom and I took the girls to the Sugar Plum Tea today and had a front row table for the performance! We watched our niece, Ashton, dance {along with several other ballerinas}, ate yummy "tea party" food {like these itty pink cupcakes}, and even got to see Santa! It was SO much fun! I can't wait to go again next year!

365:Day 315 ~ uno.

I can't even believe I'm saying this, but we celebrated cute Bailey Olson's first birthday today! I don't know how it's possible, but the little dude is already ONE! :) He is as cute as ever...has an infectious grin...and is a little heart-breaker in the making! Happy Birthday, Bailey Boy!

365:Day 314 ~ The Bows Went Straight to Her Head!

Tonight we celebrated Hanukkah with Mimi, Paps, and Uncle Dude. And for some reason, Macy was obsessed with collecting bows. She had them stuck to her head, horded into a pile, and wouldn't let one get past her. See. Doesn't she look slightly bow obsessed in this pic? :) This chick is a hoot!

365:Day 313 ~ For a Small Fee...

...we are willing to hire Bixie out for paint jobs. She did a fantastic job giving our laundry room a lift in yellow. Please let us know if you are interested...but warning: she likes to paint in her skivvies! :)

365:Day 312 ~ The Sole Survivor!

Check out what I did tonight for the very first time in my life. I lit a fire in our fire place with our gas logs. I'm cool like that.

And I know what you're thinking and I totally agree! I am the perfect person to be a contestant on Survivor! :)

365:Day 311 ~ Tuesday Night Tradition...

Since Tuesday nights are always so crazy hectic because of dance and homework, we seem to have adopted a new tradition {because we don't have enough traditions around here! :) }. Bill always goes to the gym and gets home a few minutes before we roll in at 6:15pm. So, this obviously puts a little spin on dinner time. Our new tradition is...

Scrambled Egg Tuesday!

The cutest part about Scrambled Egg Tuesday is that the girls cannot wait to help Daddy crack each and every egg! They climb up on the kitchen counter and take turns a crackin'. And the really hysterical part is that Carly doesn't even like scrambled eggs. She eats a waffle almost every Tuesday night! SO...I guess it's Scrambled Egg / Waffle Tuesday!!! :)

I sure love the little things like this that make our family one of a kind. Not to mention the memories it creates for those two little egg crackers!

365:Day 310 ~ I Am Loving...

...looking at the fireplace every day.

365:Day 309 ~ That Paci Fairy is a Cool Chick!

The Paci Fairy left Carly her very own Lumpy to snuggle with and help her fall asleep at night. We're so proud of our big girl!!! It sure is tough growing up...

Saturday, December 5, 2009

365:Day 308 ~ Bye Bye Pappy!

Carly had a visit from the Paci Fairy tonight, much to her dismay. It wasn't easy for Carly, and it wasn't easy for Mommy and Daddy. OOF.

365:Day 307 ~ Let the Decorating Begin!

Tonight we decorated our big tree and the girls decorated their little pink trees for their bedrooms. It was fun all around, and is one of my favorite parts of the season! Tomorrow, we will spend some time putting out all the bazillion holiday decorations out! Can wait for our house to be festive from head to toe!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

365:Day 306 ~ Top Secret!

Erin and I went to dinner and on a top secret shopping trip to the American Girl store tonight! We had all kinds of {little} girly fun getting holiday gifts for our favorite girls! That store is incredible and I just love picking out things that I think the girls will enjoy! :) TOO FUN!

365:Day 305 ~ What The?

Yep. That's right people. Just yesterday I put up a post about fall weather in Texas and our beautiful red tree in the backyard.

Well.

Today, as the girls were eating breakfast before school, we look out the window and find this. Snow.

It was snowing. This morning. And it even snowed for just over an hour. In Texas. In December. That's darn near unheard of 'round these parts.

Unfortunately, Bill had to walk out the door with Macy about 5 minutes after it started to snow, so our girls didn't get a chance to play in it. Hopefully we'll have another snowy day in Texas in the near future that we will be able to take full advantage of!

365:Day 304 ~ Finally......

...we're getting a little "fall" around here.

In Texas, the leaves don't start changing until late November/early December. This tree in our backyard turns a totally brilliant shade of red and I just love it! Honestly, this picture doesn't even do it justice. Fall in the Lone Star State almost doesn't even exist...but I sure am happy for this fall tree in our backyard, in spite of the fact that it takes forever for those leaves to turn!!! :)
