365:Day 30 ~ A Person's A Person, No Matter How Small.
The girls watched Horton Hears a Who tonight and I got caught up on a little blogging. But I snuggled up at watched the last 25 minutes with them and was reminded of the great and important message that Dr. Seuss sent.

365:Day 25 ~ Peanut Pride...
Carly has been working on this for quite a few weeks now, but today was when it all came together for her for the first time. She wrote her name in the car on her Doodle Pad on the way home from Macy's tennis lessons. I swear I had tears in my eyes. It was one of those moments as a parent that kinda took my breath away. Our little Peanut is becoming such a big girl before our very eyes and I was so proud of her at that moment I could have burst. So was her sister. So was her daddy. And the pride on her face was...well, nothing short of perfection.Sunday, January 24, 2010
365:Day 24 ~ So. I Can't Put It Down...
This nasty cold is really kicking my tush. However...the upside to having a cold means that I'm totally caught up on everything on my DVR. The other upside is that since I'm totally caught up on my shows because of this dern cold, I decided to bust out my new book - The Lovely Bones - somewhere OTHER than carpool! I started reading at 3:30 this afternoon, took this pic at 7:15pm and was starting Chapter 9, and it's now 9:30pm and I'm in Chapter 12. I.can't.put.it.down. Wow...I highly recommend this book. It's definitely dark. And sad. And has taken my breath away at some moments because it's dark and sad. But, it's awesome. I'm more than halfway done now and can't wait to read the rest! Who wants to borrow it first once I'm finished???Saturday, January 23, 2010
365:Day 23 ~ A Tent
I had a girl's night outing planned tonight with Gina, Erin, Natalie, and some other peeps. We were supposed to go see Josh Abbott and his band play at a local bar. His show started at 11pm. Well, due to this dastardly cold, I decided there was no way that I was going to make it to 2am and opted just to meet everyone for dinner beforehand. It was perfect {except for the fact that I felt so cruddy}! BUT, I'm happy that I snuck out for dinner with the girls, even if I did have to miss the show so I could be home by 9pm. Nice.Anyway...when I strolled in at 9pm, I found this giant tent that Bill and the girls had built! Apparently it provided quite a bit of fun, as well as the perfect spot for reading bedtime stories. I love the kind of Daddy that Bill is. I love that he builds tents. And reads bedtime stories. And encourages me to go have Girl's Nights Out. I'm one lucky mama!

365:Day 22 ~ Up Next...
Had a little extra time before I needed to pick the Peanut up, so I swung by the bookstore.
Got this book because I've heard great things.
Looking forward to starting it. :)

365:Day 21 ~ Sweet Escape
Whoo-hoo ... yee-hoo!
If I could escape,
and recreate this BOD in my whole world.
Then I could be a toned and fit girl,
forever, perfectly together.
Tell me friends,
now wouldn't that be sweet?
Sweet escape!
I wanna be Gwen Stefani ... just sayin'.
And it might be a more attainable goal if I don't go out devour chips and salsa/guacamole, quesadillas, nachos, and margaritas like I did tonight ... just sayin'.

365:Day 20 ~ 105.3 {and I ain't talking about a radio station}
Nope...not a radio station. 105.3 DEGREES! I was up most of last night with a coughing, sneezing little hot tamale, Carly Anne. She woke up hacking at 10:45 last night and was just radiating heat. 105.3 degree heat. Even the bottom of her feet were on fire. We covered her in cool washclothes and she got to have a little sleepover in her bed with mama {which, in case you were wondering, was really comfortable for me! :)}So, since Bix and I were a bit tired today, we just hung out in our jammies and developed a personal relationship with Motrin. She's had a fever on and off all day, but it hasn't been higher that 102ish. Hopefully she's fevered it out of her system and we'll both get a little more sleep tonight.
I tell ya what. 105 popping up on the thermometer is ALARMING! Whoa nelly! AH.LAR.MING! And this isn't the first time she's had a crazy high fever - first time for 105 - but it has been 104 more than once. I think that it's just how her tiny bod fights stuff off. But wow...that's one way to scare the crud outta us!!!

365:Day 18 ~ What Do You Think?
I got these at Hobby Lobby tonight. I love hydrangeas. They're exactly what I had in mind for this wall vase in our bathroom, but now I can't decide if I like the way they look. Are they just right or too poofy? So...what do you think? Cut the tags off and keep 'em
... or ...
run as fast as I can back to Hobby Lobby and return 'em???

I sure do love cute little doggie whiskers on cute little doggie snouts…especially on a cute little, floppy-eared, dopey-eyed Sadie!

365:Day 13 ~ Enough of this Blognapping!
Some might say that I’m tired. And by some, I mean Bill. And by tired, I mean excessively exhausted. And some might be right.
I have been staying up insanely late since the beginning of November, and have had a sore throat almost every day since then. It seems to be catching up with me. Wednesday nights are usually reserved for me getting some blog catch-up done {as well as various other random household chores} because Bill works late on Wednesday nights. Well, tonight I talked to Erin for a bit … and then promptly feel asleep the MINUTE we hung up the phone!
I did not take a 365 picture.
I did not catch up on blogging.
I did not fold laundry while watching trashy tv.
I did not pass go.
I did not collect $200.
And this is how my darling husband found me when he rolled in from work. Passed out cold. So he snapped yet another 365 pic for me {and I didn’t even realize it at the time since I was in a coma}. Wow…two in a row. I gotta get back on my game! NO MORE HUBBY BLOGNAPPING!
Yep…I do believe that all the late nights are catching up with me. I really need to get a grip on my night-owl ways.

365:Day 12 ~ A Message from BL
Tonight I asked my hubby for a suggestion of what I could take a picture of for today’s 365 post. Soooo, he hijacked my camera and took this picture…and he told me it’s because he thinks I stay up too late “jacking around”. Nice. I don’t think that blogging / documenting our kid’s lives is jacking around. Do you?

New Year. New Layout. New Format.
Okay...first of all, thanks to all of you who voted on whether I should keep my 365 going or not! I really do appreciate your opinions! Here's what I've decided...
I am going to keep it going for 2010! It actually only takes me 10-15 minutes a night, so for right now it's worth it to me to continue. I started this blog last year so I could practice my photog skills and to document out daily activities. When I have a 365 picture in mind, I tend to spend a little more time thinking about lighting, angles, etc. before I snap a picture. I try to be a little artistic about the shot each day. So, since I have declared 2010 the year that I WILL take a photography class, I want to keep this blog so I can continue practicing a pastime that I have really grown to love.
Plus, I enjoy the idea of jotting down our little daily happenings...like what we had for dinner, my favorite new cleaning product, and so on.
So, here's the deal. I am going to try to make this photo.a.day blog take even less than 15 minutes a night. I am going to be SUPER brief with what I write. A one-liner...a few sentences...a few words...even one word. We'll see how that goes, I guess, since we all know that I'm a TALKER!!! :) This should be the longest post I write all year!!!
I'm looking forward to another year of 365ing...and this time I'll actually have 365 days!
