The handle of my 11.5 year old vacuum broke yesterday - just snapped in half. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining. Almost 12 years is a great life of a vacuum. So, we got a new one today.
Yeppers - the year of the appliance. Our dishwasher is about to die too ... AND ... we need a new weed whacker / edger. I sure love getting updated appliances, but I sure don't love paying for them. Ew.

well bummer for the stuff breakin' but yay for new ones! Just think you won't have to buy this stuff again for another ten years or so!
I'm with ya on this one... I HATE to spend the money on new appliances... but I SURE do LOVE how they work so well!
