Our sweet friends, the Olson's, are in town this weekend...so of course we had a little shindig for the whole crew! The Bryces were kind enough to host and our theme this time was a SALSA PARTY. Now. You wanna know what's sad? It's sad that when I received instructions to bring our favorite salsa that it never - and I do mean NEVER - even occurred to me to make the salsa instead of buying the salsa. Sad.sad.sad. I'm so the opposite of a chef. Didn't even cross my mind. Almost everyone else at our gathering MADE theirs. But not I. Nope. Didn't even think about making it.
Now...please don't let me take away from the fact that Wholly Salsa is currently our favorite salsa. It's FANtastic, in fact. I just didn't make it. You know...from scratch...or a recipe. Unless you count following these steps as a recipe:
1. Get in car.
2. Drive to Kroger
3. Purchase Wholly Salsa
4. Drive home.
5. Happily bring to party.
I was also in charge of dessert. I brought a dessert pizza {that I purchased at Target}, and my signature Jodi Leonard Brownies {which I've made famous on behalf of Betty Crocker}. Wow. Sad.sad.sad. :)

girl....there is nothing at all wrong with bringing store bought stuff....especially if it is delish as all the things you brought were!

I, for one, have never EVER made homemade salsa either!! And being the salsa lovers that we are... I'm going to give this one a try!
And those brownies? Shame, shame I've never had one. {Sad sigh.}
